If there are any doctors or such in this substack group, please help, but IMO, every one of you is expertized and capable of equal arguments so if you wish, send in a rebuttal in the portal below. We got to fight these demons in Calif, we have to help them.
What is AB 2098?
-
This bill would designate the dissemination or promotion of misinformation or disinformation related to the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, or “COVID-19,” by a physician or surgeon as unprofessional conduct, allowing the Medical Board to take action against such physician or surgeon.
-
It would punish doctors who know and say the facts about Covid -- attacking medical ethics, informed consent, and the doctor-patient relationship
-
AB 2098 would label as "misinformation or disinformation" anything a physician said or did that "was contradicted by contemporary scientific consensus to an extent where its dissemination constitutes gross negligence," which, if so, would prohibit the doctor from practicing medicine. For its initial practical purposes, this bill would attack and harm physicians who have studied the reality of many adverse reactions to vaccines and who support medical freedom.
-
For example, under AB 2098, physicians who advocate for the potential benefits of early treatment with off-label drugs, or who ask questions about COVID vaccine safety, could be charged with unprofessional conduct for promoting “misinformation or disinformation” and lose their medical license.
-
Not only does AB 2098 infringe on freedom of speech in the U.S. and California constitutions, it blatantly violates the Hippocratic oath of doctors to "do no harm or injustice" to patients.
-
Because if certain facts inform physicians that the State of California is recommending medical treatment that is unnecessary, ineffective, or harmful, doctors will be punished for doing good, patients will be denied informed consent, and the doctor-patient relationship will be shattered.

RE: AB 2098: Physicians and Surgeons: Unprofessional Conduct - OPPOSE
As a [physician/surgeon/medical professional], I strongly oppose the proposed California bill AB 2098 and urge you to vote no and oppose as well.
[Reasons you oppose bill, any personal stories/experience that demonstrate why bill should not pass and how patients would be effected/harmed]
This bill will not help mitigate outbreaks, doctors will be punished for practicing medicine and advocating for their patients, deny them informed consent, and the doctor-patient relationship will be shattered. You are your fellow lawmakers must oppose AB 2098.
Sincerely,
