This puts law abiding Canadians at risk to the wolf for the same governments allowed the wolf in, lurking, will kill as they do now, COVID only tamped them down, but the wolf will re-emerge

The difficulty is managing a person's individual rights, coming up with criteria for gun ownership, and the challenge how to determine if the criteria is being assessed in a fair and uniform manner to all...again, no touch of the 2nd...I have said this clearly, off limits, its a right and must never ever be altered. if I can join the military at 18 and be given a weapon to use, then why cant I have it in the civilian life? again, the debate must be how to keep out of the hands of people with criminal backgrounds, criminal intent of use etc. it is a difficult needle to thread but one we have to discuss.

I warn, remove all the guns, you are a rabbit in a pack of wolves. There are dangerous people inside Canada. The same governments know how they got there. The government will abuse you maximally then by removing all your rights at will. See what they did in Australia etc. Took the guns, deballed the nation, and in COVID, destroyed the people. No rights. No say. You are impotent to the government. They will never ever stop until you are powerless.

The 2nd amendment in the US is there for a reason in my understanding:

1)It allows people to defend their lives under threat

2)It allows people to defend against a tyrannical rogue government

3)If the nation is attacked by foreign invaders and the government cannot defend, the people WILL defend their nation.

4) Used to help protect the 1st.

That is the US. I applaud. Never give an inch on the 2nd, ever!

Why punish those who follow the law and act responsibly and not those that break the law? This is upside down as usual. Punish those who break the law, yes, those who are high-risk, limit them, not the decent law abiding hard working tax paying person.

What we need is proper legal gun ownership, proper training, proper storage etc. Yes, proper back ground checks, red flag laws, and proper assessment of mental health for ownership. Any means to ensure guns are in the hands of well sound people, law abiding. But it is a mistake to constrain law abiding public. This is a step to totalitarian control and Canada has shown it is well on its way based on how Canadians treated each other during COVID over failed ineffective lockdowns and vaccines that do not work and cause harms. Just look at what was done to the convoy truckers and protestors with the illicit use of the war measures ACT, freezing bank accounts etc; the govn is just jumping on an issue for relevance. The court and RCMP ruled the emergency declaration and use was not needed, illegal, had no basis. The OPP, Ottawa police, the RCMP officers I spoke to told me they would never attack or move on the truckers or protestors, that they supported the truckers and that outside forces were brought into Ottawa to brutalize the protestors and truckers.

Home ownership, focus on that, its the one tried tested way to reduce crime. Rent to own etc.

What we need is voter recall, immediate, for all politicians, MPP, MP, PMs, congress, senate etc. Even Presidents. What we need is legislation barring PMs from calling snap elections to remain in power, thats what we need. What we need is proper opposition, not the sell out NDP etc. who have sold out the blue collar worker. Enough of the sell out tax payer leaches who do nothing but enrich themselves when they get elected.
