"Supreme Court’s Gorsuch refused to wear mask despite request over Sotomayor’s Covid concerns, report says"; despite a request from Chief Justice John Roberts for all members of the high court to wear

Gorsuch’s continued defiance has led Justice Sonia Sotomayor — who has diabetes and is therefore at a higher risk of serious illness from COVID — to be remote; but what hypocrisy by her ruling!

Now her concern is understandable if she has a risk…she is correct, but here is the rub:

Facts:

1) Justice Sotomayor is attending court remotely

2) She is worried about Justice Gorsuch infecting her

3) All nine justices have been vaccinated and boosted, and so, should be fully protected 

4) So, let us think about this: if Gorsuch could infect her, then his full vaccination does not stop transmission of infection

5) Moreover, if Justice Sotomayor could get infected, then her full vaccination does not work against her getting infected

6) She is thus saying that both of them having been fully vaccinated and boosted is not enough to prevent spread between them. One does not stop spread and the other does not stop being infected. So in essence, she is saying the vaccines fail!

So, BIG QUESTION:

How come did she cast a vote to mandate the vaccination for healthcare workers when by her own actions to work from home which is her right based on her risk, when she believes that the vaccine does not work to prevent infection or transmission? On what basis? She has none based on the science and her own actions and thus why did she do this?
