Can our government agencies, our alphabet health agencies and regulators, can their leadership and rank-and-file scientists be more clueless and inept? That I think is impossible given what we have seen across 3 years during COVID.

No difference, really zero. No statistically significant difference in protection was found between the two kinds of masks (surgical vs N95) in healthcare facilities (multi-center). So when you are told that it is now time to use the N95 respirator as it will protect you better than the regular blue surgical mask, the fact is that the N95 is no better than the blue surgical mask in offering protection. They all do not work with these respiratory viruses, both allow infection in, and we knew that day one! These masks cannot protect you from viruses as the virus itself is way smaller than the pores or openings in these masks. Like lockdowns, the masking was also a farse, based on junk or no science, and basically virtue signaling and a talisman. Like all of the COVID lockdown lunacy, all of it was a pure farce. As Redfield told me (at HHS while I was in DC as a senior pandemic advisor) about the 6 foot social distancing rule when I asked him on what science was it based, he replied in a chuckle para “science Paul, there is no science here for the 6 foot, we made it up”.

Study involved ‘29 health care facilities in Canada, Israel, Pakistan, and Egypt from 4 May 2020 to 29 March 2022.’

Researchers found that both the surgical masks and the N95 fitted COVID masks (RESPIRATORS) do not stop infection as in both trial arms (non-inferiority multi-center trial), participants got infected; moreover, there was no difference between the surgical masks and the N95 fitted masks in terms of stopping infection. “In the intention-to-treat analysis, RT-PCR–confirmed COVID-19 occurred in 52 of 497 (10.46%) participants in the medical mask group versus 47 of 507 (9.27%) in the N95 respirator group (hazard ratio [HR], 1.14 [95% CI, 0.77 to 1.69]). There were 47 (10.8%) adverse events related to the intervention reported in the medical mask group and 59 (13.6%) in the N95 respirator group.”
